23 Outubro, 2024Machico hosts between June 6th and 8th, the 16th-century Market”, an event that evokes the historical period of the discovery of the island, which has gained a prominent cultural status.
The Santa Maria also takes part in the Sixteenth Century Market (Mercado Quinhentista) in Machico, with the same purpose as the Columbus Festival: to recreate Columbus’ arrival on the island and stage the landing with the participation of local schools.
